Responses from workshop participants and their parents:
Top-notch teaching, engaged and engaging. The instructors set the stage, and example, for the children to freely explore their creativity within the framework of the Renaissance. I was thrilled to see older kids interacting with the younger ones and vice versa. Watching the kids (and not just my kid!) embrace the material during the Shakeseare play brought tears to my eyes.

My daughter came home from class every day and immediately wanted to tell our family everything that she had done.

One aspect of learning that I am often concerned about has to do with how the children are regarded and included in the direction of the curriculum. I didn't have any concern about that with my son in your care. I see that you offer many opportunities for kids to participate in ways that are fun and comfortable for them, and that there is not pressure for kids to participate in ways that are not comfortable or interesting. I appreciate this very much. I find it very honoring of each person's individuality, which is sadly rare in education these days.

Our son and daughter loved the authentic instruments and the books and stories. They showed us the dances and felt proud of them. They both want to do another class with you. I loved how much they learned and how it was taught -- I learned a lot too!

Last year's Medieval camp was one of the highlights of my daughter's summer, not only because of what she learned about medieval times, but because of the friendships she made with fellow students -- as well as with Shula and Jacob (storytellers extraordinaire!).

When I saw the mix of ages, I thought my daughter was going to hate being the oldest. But she said this was her favorite camp of all!

Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience with these lucky children. My daughter seems so engaged and happy. Your teaching quality is the best -- incredibly respectful of children.

I appreciated the gentle teaching style and the enthusiasm for the time period. The exposure to the period instruments and cultural context made it so real for the kids.

When my son started kindergarten, he had a hard time and started to shut down. After your class he came home singing, and he opened up again. Thank you.
