Writing and Editing

I received my BA in music and English from UC Berkeley in 1999, with honors in both fields. While I was an undergraduate, I began writing program notes for the university symphony orchestra and discovered the pleasure of writing about music for a general readership. These days I continue to explore issues of music history and performance in program notes and magazine articles. I've also been a pre-concert lecturer for the Seattle Baroque Orchestra since 2004, and I was the lecturer in residence for the 2005-2006 season.
I am also available as an editor for freelance projects. Since I've kept a toe in the world of academic prose, I have been as much at home editing a book-length social-science dissertation for publication as I've been editing and copywriting for a more general or commercial readership. My clients are happy to be available as references. Please contact me ror more information.
